Scottish Exmoor Pony Riding Club

Welcome to the SEPRC!

Why an Exmoor Pony Riding Club?

The vast majority of BRC Affiliated Riding Clubs cater for adults who ride horses.  With their events and competitions reflecting this, they can make themselves inaccessible to the adult who chooses to ride ponies.

The Scottish Exmoor Pony Riding Club aims to provide events, competitive and otherwise, at a high standard, tailored towards the abilities and talents of adult pony riders.

The Committee also share a passion to promote the rare breed Exmoor Pony, and this has led to the founding of the Scottish Exmoor Pony Riding Club.

We aim:

1.   To encourage the use of the ridden Exmoor Pony for sport and recreation.

2.  To promote good fellowship amongst riders of the Exmoor Pony and to improve and maintain the standard of riding and horsemanship.

3.  To organise instructional meetings, lectures, competitive events and other activities which will further these objects.

4.  To obtain affiliation to British Riding Clubs and to support and co-operate with recognised organisations interested in the breeding and use the Exmoor Pony.

5.  To concern itself with any object which will benefit the Exmoor Pony and its Rider.

Do I need to have an Exmoor Pony to join?

No, absolutely not.  Some of our most active members do not have Exmoors of their own.  All we ask is that our members show a willingness to promote the ridden Exmoor pony.
